Who can be hypnotized? No me! Or can I? Part 1

Some people have told me that they cannot be hypnotized, that they are too strong willed. Others have said that they don’t believe in that stuff, seems too “woo woo”.

Actually, its science.

Hypnosis uses the Alpha brain waves for light to medium trance, and the truth is EVERYONE experiences this trance at least 2 times a day, unless you don’t sleep, (and in that case you really need to call me, I can help with that).  Your brain goes into alpha brain 🧠 waves as you relax and go to sleep and then again in those first few moment when you’ve just woken up and are all snuggled in bed, resisting thinking about anything but hitting snooze so you can enjoy just 10 more minutes of rest. 🛌 💤

If you’ve every cheer at a sporting event, 🏈 🏒 ⚽️ 🏟️ laughed or cried at a good movie 🤣 🎥 😭 , or screamed your heart out at a concert as you danced to the music 🎵 💃 🎤 and sung along, you’ve experienced environmental hypnosis.

Or how about this? Ever drive home from work or the grocery store noodling a problem around in your brain and before you know it you are pulling into your driveway 🚘 and you snap out of it and say, “Wow! I’m home already, I don’t even remember driving home.”  You were in alpha brain waves 🧠, and you put yourself there with your focused selective thinking.

So its not a matter of can you be hypnotized, rather, it is a matter of responsiveness to hypnosis. Of which there are 3 categories, low, moderate and high responsiveness.

But having said all that, people can experience inhibitions. Individuals who inhibit their response to hypnosis might experience one or more of 5 common situations. The good news is if their emotional desire to reach their goal is high enough, all of these inhibitions can be overcome.

If you want to know what those inhibitions are, check out my next blog post… “Inhibitions are not a deal killer”. Let me share with you how to turn your inhibitions into lemonade.
