What is Hypnosis Really?

“Hypnosis is just a natural state of mind with numerous beneficial characteristics. For example; it is an extraordinary quality of relaxation and an increased responsiveness to suggestion. When in Hypnosis people tend to feel physically, relaxed and mentally alert.” by Tim and Angela Simmerman Sierra of the HAA (Hypnotherapy Academy of America) M2 p.64
There it is, the official answer we memorized when in class.
Want something more technical?
“Hypnosis is a natural state of mind where the critical factor is relaxed, and selective thinking is maintained. The relaxed critical factor facilitates communication between the conscious and subconscious mind. Selective thinking, is commonly experienced as focused concentration. Achieving the hypnotic state is a skill, and therefore requires practice.” by Tim and Angela Simmerman Sierra of the HAA, M1 p. 16
At the Academy, I was trained in Integral Hypnotherapy. Part of that definition includes the following:
“This unique style is based on a collaborative Client centered approach to Hypnotherapy. Integral hypnotherapy is a system that combines classical hypnotherapy with modern methods and protocols. It also integrates, perennial, wisdom, traditions, philosophical counseling, and human potential training – which includes life skills coaching, and played mind sciences.” Trademark and copyright by Tim and Angela Simmerman Sierra.HAA M 1 p. 17
Most hypnotherapy work that I do uses light to medium trance. This means you remember everything we do and everything we talk about.
I can’t make you do things against your will, promise 🤝. In fact, you are a co-creator in ALL the suggestions and imagery we use for your hypnosis sessions. Collaboratively, we tailor make suggestions to saturate your subconscious mind with positive healing ideas to help the changes you want to make, be easy and natural.
As easy and natural as toweling off when you finish a shower.
Really.
I have experiences the changes myself.
Still skeptical?
