Inhibitions Are Not a Deal Killer
As promised, the 5 most common inhibitions to Hypnotherapy. If you identify with one or more, don’t worry, schedule yourself a free consultation call and let me put your mind at ease. If you want to experience hypnosis bad enough, practically anything can be overcome because learning hypnosis is a skill.
The more you practice hypnosis the deeper and faster you go into the hypnotic state and each time you are hypnotized, you often respond more profoundly. This is because it’s your mind’s natural ability to do so, just like building muscle when you exercise.
Here they are starting with the most common.
1. Lack of rapport with the hypnotherapist, not feeling comfortable with or trusting the hypnotherapist. Thankfully if the hypnotherapist is worth their salt, they will remedy that with good listening skills and showing respect and compassion for the co-therapist by paying close attention to their words. Never be afraid to clarify your thoughts and emotions with your hypnotherapist because the creation of the suggestions for your session are based on how you feel in your body as you have thoughts regarding the goal you have come to work on. Your thoughts and feelings matter and are the key to your success.

2. A strong will or what we like to call in the business, a highly developed analytical mind. Sometimes there can be a misconception that only the weak-minded can be hypnotized, but that is simply not how it works, want it to happen, watch it happen we always say. It’s really a matter of desire.
But, it is true that the mind can become pre-occupied with analyzing the process of induction, but there are tips and tricks to help the mind selectively focus so that pesky chatter box will relax and we can access the subconscious programming. It easier than you might think, often just repeating in your mind the instructions of the hypnotherapist is enough to keep the analytical mind busy.
It likes to have a job to do, so we give it one. 😉

3. The fear of losing control to the hypnotherapist or that something they want to keep hidden will emerge. As I establish rapport with you I will continue to educating on how Integral Hypnotherapy gives you more control of your mind and body.
A few areas you gain control~you are able to change long established habits with ease even after “trying hard” for years hasn’t worked. I can show you how to control your pain, numbing areas of the body and giving instructions for repair. Third, one of my favorite ways to teach you to control the mind is to bring the emotional response to fears phobias and traumas, down to 0.
The good news is your subconscious will not reveal any memories you are not ready to deal with as its nature is to keep you safe. Lastly, I cannot tell you to do anything your values would not allow you to do when not in hypnosis, your highest dominant beliefs (which are housed in your subconscious whether you are aware of them or not) are what control your actions. But if you would like to change any of your beliefs, we can talk about that. 😇
4. Negative Payoff or Secondary Gain– this means you are getting a legitimate need met by keeping the habit, fear, or medical issue that you consciously profess to want to get rid of. If you break your arm and cannot do the dishes, a chore you HATE to do, it could take an extraordinarily long time to heal. The payoff is, you don’t have to do the dishes. ☺️ Most people are either unaware of their negative payoffs or are REALLY attached to them. I can provide you support in determining the underlying legitimate need and put you in touch with a positive method to meet that legitimate need
5. Negative or ineffective experience with hypnotherapy in the past. There is a HUGE range of “trained” hypnotherapist out there and I cannot speak to what training your previous hypnotherapist had, but I know that my extensive 500 hours of live school instruction with hands on coaching and 1,500 pages of manuals and an astonishing amount of outside reading, has prepared me to be of extensive service in this field.
Am I right?
But that did not mean you threw up your hands and said, “I can’t learn,” and quit going to school. I am committed to building the rapport it takes to create a safe environment and instructing you in a multitude of sttategies to gain the control over your mind, body and emotions that will transform your life. I would love to watch you bloom as we shine a light on your subconscious mind.
